The power of words.
Words that are spoken on a whim
could cause a lasting impact on a person
for the rest of their lives.
Words become knives
that jabs and leave hidden scars.
Ignore the words but once said,
it remains in the mind
to arise during vulnerable times.
These simple words
lead to our undoing.
